MILA PANIĆ – Winner of the ZVONO Award 2020!
Mila Panić (*1991, Banja Luka/BA) completed her Master of Fine Arts in Public Art and New artistic strategies at the Bauhaus University in Weimar in 2017, which was supported by a DAAD scholarship (2015-2017). Previously she completed her bachelor degree in painting at the Art Academy in Banja Luka. In 2014 she co-founded ‘APARTMAN’, an art project for the popularization of contemporary art in BIH. More recently she initiated the online platform Fully Funded Residences that serves for disseminating open calls, assisting artists with residency opportunities and for sharing experiences and critical reflection on AiR programs.
Her works were presented in numerous regional and international exhibitions, biennales, festivals and presentations such as School of Waters, Mediterranea 19, Young Artists Biennale, San Marino (2020); New Artistic Strategies, MOMENTUM Gallery, Kunsthaus Bethanien, Berlin/D (2017) or Share Too Much History More Future, Museum of Contemporary, Banja Luka (2015) and was granted a scholarship to attend “Arte Util”, a course taught by the artist Tania Bruguera at the International Summer Academy in Salzburg (2013).
Mila had already been shortlisted for The ZVONO Award 2014 and was selected award winner in 2017. As such she is awarded with a two-month residency program at Residency Unlimited, New York, which she is going to take up to in fall 2021.
